Since 2022, Raphael Mahlknecht has been a part of the OrangeFox team. We are thrilled to have such an exceptional athlete by our side. Raphael hails from Völs am Schlern and considered a pioneer of Telemark skiing in South Tyrol.
Telemark combines the best of alpine and Nordic skiing, demanding not only technical precision but also endurance and passion – qualities that Raphael embodies to perfection. With his dedication and determination, he successfully competes against the best in the world. We are proud to support him on his sporting journey and celebrate new successes together.
The 2023-24 season marked Raphael’s greatest sporting achievement so far. With two podiums finishes at the home World Cup races in Carezza and Livigno, he finished an outstanding 5th place in the sprint standings and secured 6th place overall.
Since 2015, we have been a proud partner of Ski Club Brunico, supporting a key player in the skiing community in our hometown. Founded in 1971, Ski Club Brunico currently manages 28 active athletes in the VSS racing series.
The older age groups are integrated into the Kronplatz Ski Team, founded in 2016, from the Grand Prix racing series onwards. This creates a strong network, fostering the exchange and growth of talented young skiers.
In addition to intensive training and participation in the FISI racing calendar, Ski Club Brunico organizes numerous events that round off the season. A highlight is the traditional “Stadlerrennen”. Every two years, the club also hosts the popular “Locknfest” at Plan de Corones – another highlight that strengthens the community and joy of winter sports.
For several years, we have been proud partners of the Kronplatz Racing Center and its racing series, the “Kronplatz Racing Cup”.
The Kronplatz Racing Center was founded in June 2010 in Brunico (South Tyrol) by Nicola Paulon. With the goal of promoting both national and international athletes, organizing sporting events and advancing the sport, the team has become an important hub for skiing talents from around the world.
A highlight is the Kronplatz Racing Cup (KRCup), where national championships from various countries are held. These exciting races take place in four different locations: at Plan de Corones, in Guggenberg Tesido, at the Colle Casies and in the Dobbiaco Ski Center.
